The processing of your data is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract). The data processing is necessary to provide the app's core functionality — logging, analyzing, and optimizing your espresso brewing parameters.

Data We Collect — App Data (Local Only)

All your data — including brew entries, taste ratings, coffee bean profiles, and grinder calibration settings — is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. No data is transmitted to any server, cloud service, or third party.

How We Use Your Data

To log and analyze your espresso brewing parameters locally on your device.
To provide personalized correction recommendations based on your taste ratings.
To calibrate grinder sensitivity and track your brewing history.

Data Storage & Security

All data is stored locally in an encrypted SwiftData database on your device.
No data is synced to iCloud, any cloud service, or any external server.

Third-Party Services

This app does not use any analytics, tracking, advertising, crash reporting, or other third-party services. No data leaves your device.

Network Connections

Brewster makes zero network connections. The app works entirely offline and does not require an internet connection.

Your Rights (GDPR / DSGVO)

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control:

Delete individual brew entries or coffee beans at any time by swiping to delete.
Export all your data as a JSON file via Settings > Export all data.
Delete all app data at once via Settings > Delete all data.
Remove all data completely by uninstalling the app.

Right to Lodge a Complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The competent authority is: Der Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg, Lautenschlagerstr. 20, 70173 Stuttgart, Germany.
